Psychostimulants

Used to treat symptoms of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

Antidepressants (Tricyclics)

  • Imipramine

Improve attention, help control depression, other conditions.

Antidepressants (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors, or SSRIs)

  • Fluoxetine
  • Fluvoxamine
  • Citalopram
  • Paroxetine
  • Sertraline

Used to treat depression, anxiety and obsessive-compulsive behavior. Not used if only ADHD is present.

Antihypertensives

  • Clonidine
  • Others

Clonidine calms, improves frustration tolerance and reduces aggression.
