Croup and Your Young Child (Audio)

If your baby wakes up in the night with a cough that sounds like a barking seal, he may have croup. Croup is a viral inflammation of the voice box and windpipe. Though children can get croup at any time, they are most likely to get it between the ages of six months and three years and croup is more common during October and March.
