Ear Infections with Fluid (Audio)

Most children experience fluid in their middle ear space during their toddler or preschool years. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) offers guidelines for how pediatricians can detect and treat these infections. Usually the infection does not hurt and clears up on its own, however some times it can lead to problems with hearing and language delays.
