At least 40 percent of toddlers and children are vitamin D deficient. Luckily there is an easy way to make sure children get enough of this important vitamin. Just get outside in the sunshine and their bodies will naturally produce vitamin D. Take reading time or messy fun outside, but be sure to put sunscreen on first.
