Baby Bottle Tooth Decay
Article Body
The most common cause of tooth decay for infants and toddlers is a syndrome known as baby bottle tooth decay. When a child drinks from a bottle for long periods of time it allows for teeth to bathe in a sugary liquid, setting the stage for bacteria buildup and tooth decay. In order to prevent this, it is helpful to teach a child to use a cup as soon as possible, about one year of age.
