Body Checking in Hockey (Audio)
Body checking is the cause of 86 percent of all hockey injuries in children between the ages of nine and 15. Although body checking is a common part of ice hockey, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) suggests players aged 15 and under refrain from checking.
