Healthy Children Radio: Water Safety (Audio)

Drowning is a leading cause of injury-related death in children. In 2006, fatal drowning claimed the lives of approximately 1,100 U.S. children younger than 20 years old.

Dr.Garry Gardner, MD, FAAP, chair of the AAP Committee on Injury, Violence and Poison Prevention, comes on the show to discuss the strategies parents can use to protect their children around water.
