Is there any kind of alcohol that is safe to drink during pregnancy?

Answer

​There is no safe type of alcoholic beverage. Red wine is no safer than white wine, beer, or mixed drinks, since all contain alcohol.

Research evidence indicates that even drinking small amounts of alcohol while pregnant can lead to miscarriage, stillbirth, prematurity, or sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).
