Public Health Minute: Early Identification of ASD

​​Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) affects about 1 in 68 children. In this Public Health Minute, pediatrician Susan Levy, MD, FAAP, explains why early diagnosis is so important.

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends that all children be screened for ASD at their 18- and 24-month well-child checkups.
