Welcome to the first issue of the HealthyChildren.org e-newsletter! We hope you have had a chance to explore the site and are visiting often. This month we are highlighting obesity. As you may have heard, First Lady Michelle Obama recently launched a national campaign against childhood obesity called “Let’s Move.”  The American Academy of Pediatrics is proud to join the White House in this initiative.
 
Obesity is a complex issue. There is no “magic bullet” to solve the problem. But there are things families can do. Mrs. Obama herself noted that small changes in her family’s routines made a big difference. Could these same changes make a difference for you and your family? Read on to find out more.
