There’s a lot of news about the current outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) and it can be overwhelming for parents and frightening to kids. Try to keep your kids informed, but not anxious, by stressing what they can do to help stay healthy like washing their hands often, coughing into a tissue or their sleeves, and getting enough sleep.
 
 
Hand Washing is a Powerful Antidote
As early as possible, get your children into the habit of washing their hands often and thoroughly. All day long, kids are exposed to bacteria and viruses—when touching a playmate, sharing toys, or petting the cat. Learn the steps for proper hand washing here.
