Robert Murray, MD, FAAP
 Dr. Robert Murray spent over 20 years in the field of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition in the Ohio State University School of Medicine. For five years, he served as the director of the Center for Healthy Weight and Nutrition, offering medical and surgical treatments for child and adolescent obesity. Dr. Murray also was the pediatric medical director for Abbott Nutrition from 2003-2006. For over a decade, Dr. Murray was an executive committee member of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Council on School Health, serving as chair in the final four years. He is a board member of Action for Healthy Kids, an organization focused on school health and well-being and previously served on the boards of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation and Children’s Hunger Alliance. Dr. Murray is a past president of the Ohio Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Cathy Ramstetter, PhD
 Dr. Cathy Ramstetter is the author of Why Recess Matters The Importance of Unstructured Play and How to Fight for It, a one-stop-shop for parents to inform, inspire, and empower them to make a difference in the way recess is designed, delivered and experienced. Dr. Ramstetter is also coauthor of the 2013 and updated 2026 American Academy of Pediatrics Policy Statement on Recess and a school health consultant with Successful Healthy Children, assisting schools with wellness initiatives and recess implementation. Cathy is a founding member of the Global Recess Alliance, a group of scholars, researchers, and educators from North America, the United Kingdom, and Australasia that guides schools to rethink policies and practices for recess. She has been recognized as a fellow of the American School Health Association and with the International Play Association USA’s Doctor of Play in recognition of her work advocating for children’s right to play. Cathy’s research has been published in the Journal of School Health and Pediatrics, and she has presented her research at local, state, national, and international conferences and delivered workshops and trainings for schools. She has been interviewed by news outlets including SiriusXM Doctor Radio Kids on Call, ChicagoNOW, USA Today, Time magazine, The Wall Street Journal, and ABC News.
