Breastfeeding offers important health benefits for both babies and mothers, but not all families have the same opportunity to succeed. In a new policy statement, “Opportunities for Pediatricians to Address Racism and Bias to Reduce Racial Disparities in Breastfeeding and the Use of Human Milk,” the AAP recommends steps to better support breastfeeding success for all families.
